This album was recorded live at "Extra Muscle" in Northside, Cincinnati, OH on 1/29/18 and then immediately mixed, burned and packaged into pre-made sleeves to sell to the audience whom had just observed the performance.
This consists of an alternative mix and master executed with more consideration. Truth be told there are more than a couple mixes of this now floating around... This is the most superior and definitive version.
Nervdoctr is an improvisatory collective founded by Gallagher in '15 whose modus operandi consists of imposing strict temporal parameters upon it's players. WHO plays and WHEN is dictated by the score and achieved thru each performer astutely observing a timer.
The basis of "Primrose" is to present every possible combination of three players, there are three solo pieces (each 3 minutes in length), three duo pieces (each five minutes in length) and one trio piece (7 minutes in length) All prime numbers. Adding up to the prime number of 31.
